The Sino-Scandinavian Bank series of China Foreign Banks in the World Currency contains 29 distinct entries.

Funding for the Sino-Scandinavian Bank (SSB) came mainly from Chinese entrepreneurs seeking trade with Scandinavia. The balance of capital was provided by Danish and Norwegian sources. Paid-in capital amounted to 2,500,000 yuan in silver dollars. The bank was chartered on 21 July 1921, with its headquarters in Beijing, with operations commencing on 7 January 1922. The bank closed its doors after a severe bank run in 1928.

Be aware that, due to poor descriptions and missing or erroneous images in the SCWPM, many third-party graded 1922 SSB notes carry erroneous Pick numbers. Buyer beware.
