Denis W. Loring was among Early American Coppers' Charter Members.
The Kagin-21 half eagle appears to be the earliest of three GEORGIA GOLD $5 varieties, and is easiest to recognize by the use of a pair of colons on the obverse at :GEORGIA and 28.G.:. It is the scarcest of the three GEORGIA GOLD half eagle varieties, with 14 examples identified. A couple of choice AU/low-end mint state examples vie for finest known honors.
