1934 Boone Half dollar MS Values

Details

This half dollar honors the 200th birth anniversary of Daniel Boone, a pioneer and explorer who helped settle the land on the western side of the Appalachian Mountains that was then part of Virginia and is now known as Kentucky. The Boone half dollar, designed by Augustus Lukeman, was minted for five years, and the first issues from 1934 were struck only at the Philadelphia Mint.

Most 1934 Boone commemorative half dollars are encountered in uncirculated grades ranging from MS63-66, while those in better grades are quite rare. Quality is generally not a problem with these coins, as most feature exceptional luster and eye appeal.

This coin is made of 90% silver; 10% copper and has a current melt value of $25.09
