Obverse: Recut 4 OBV. 8. S1LH, S7LH, S8LE, S13B. S7 to top of cap at front. Date is 8 mm. and well centered with 82 a little closer than 18 or 24. A distinct raised line to left of upper angle of 4, where first 4 was started too far to left. Often mistaken for 4 over 1. Die defect dot in field ½ mm. in front of eye on most specimens observed.
Reverse: Arrowheads attached, RI solidly joined REV. H. A1C, A2B, A3LH. 50 C. is 1 ¾ mm. A-A is ¼ mm. Arrowheads are joined to each other and to shafts above by die defects and are rather misshapen. Base of A is higher than adjacent base of M and MER very close. RI joined. Some observed specimens show a distinct ridge extending upward from top of right talon. (65,65,65,64,64) R.2
