Obverse: Liberty Head by George T. Morgan, E PLURIBUS to the left, UNUM to the right, date 1877 below.

Reverse: Eagle with similarities to that used on the adopted silver dollar of 1878, with raised wings holding an olive branch with three leaves in right talon and three arrows in left. IN GOD WE TRUST between wings in upper and lower case Gothic letters. Eagle has seven tail feathers. Around border, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / TEN DOL.
