Obverse: J.A. Bailly’s design adopted from the 1873 pattern trade dollar, J-1315. Liberty seated, facing left, stars around, date below.
Reverse: Similar to the die adopted in 1875, but with minor differences (the terminal leaves of the olive branch overlap).
