1865 One Cent PR RD Values

Details

This date is scarce considering the mintage is only 500, which is far below average for the Indian Cent Series. Very scarce in all grades up to the finest of gems that are quite rare. Cameo pieces are extremely rare in any grade you can find one in. Look for attractively toned brown pieces or blazing red surfaces as those are the most desirable and are not too hard to find.

Obverse: A portrait bearing the likeness of a Native American in full headdress framed by the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. The date is centered at the bottom under the portrait.

Reverse: The reverse bears the denomination of ONE CENT in the center surrounded by a wreath bearing a ribbon with arrows tied in at the bottom center.
