The United States utilized a two-cent coin for just ten years, from 1864 to 1873.
J.J. Conway & Company’s simple, typographical design is vaguely reminiscent of the issues of the Appalachian gold rush. Of the nine known Conway quarter eagles, five are in private hands, and two grade mint state.
