Undated $20. Only two examples are believed to exist. One, gilt, was part of the Woodin collection, and was part of the 1914 American Numismatic Society exhibit. Another was sold in 1922. Neither has been seen in recent years. See J-126a under 1850.

Obverse Description

Regular double eagle die by Longacre, but without date. Die described by Judd: “The third Longacre die in which the 6th star points to the left side of a denticle, the shape of the truncation differs from the first two dies and the initials JBL on the truncation are much farther to the left. The Y in LIBERTY is perfect with no signs of recutting. This master die was used to make the regular issue dies.”
