1858 Copper Pattern Cent PR BN J-209 Values

Details

1858 Cent. Dies 8-D. Transitional issue, same obverse and reverse as adopted in 1859. Obverse and reverse die varieties exist for J-208, including different date positions on the obverse and different wreath details on the reverse.18 The most notable differences are wreaths with five leaves per cluster and wreaths with six leaves per cluster. These seem to have been struck over a long period of time.

Obverse: Indian Head (two styles: pointed bust and rounded bust).

Reverse: Laurel wreath.
