Whitman Publications Win Three 2026 NLG Awards
Whitman Brands walked away with a trio of honors during the annual Numismatic Literary Guild awards, held during the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money in Pittsburgh.

In the specialized book categories, Michael Moran picked up the award for Best U.S. Coins works with his When Coins Were King: The Coins, Power Struggles and Personalities That Defined a Nation. Moran had also won the category award as co-author with Jeff Garrett in 2016 for 1849: The Philadelphia Mint Strikes Gold. In the category of Best U.S. Paper Money, Arthur and Ira Friedberg grabbed the accolade for United States Paper Money – History, Grading Values, Ninth Edition. Both books, issued in 2026, are available at Whitman.com.

In the digital media categories, The Red Book Podcast hosted by John Feigenbaum and Jeff Garrett was selected for the Best Podcast award, capturing its first title in the category. The Red Book Podcast is a part of the Greysheet multimedia group that includes the Greysheet Podcast and Greysheet Market Report.
